Temping

Join the Credit Recruitment Temp Team

When you register with Credit Recruitment not only do our professional friendly consultants assess your skill level, we listen to what you want!

We keep in regular contact with you whilst proactively marketing you to assignments that match what you are looking for. And as one assignment nears its end, we start looking for the next. We are only a phone call away for any questions you may have.

Why would temping work for you?

• Be paid by the hour for every hour you work
• Achieve a better work/life balance
• Temp while you’re at a career crossroads
• Enjoy variety
• Meet new people
• Feel like one of the team at CR – you may be working with numbers, but you are not a number.

The rates for every assignment differ, depending on the skills and experience required for the role. Please talk to one of our consultants to discuss the hourly rate that you would like to receive. Wages are paid fortnightly by direct credit.

We accrue Holiday Pay from the day that you start temping, and this is paid to you when each assignment ends or when you take holidays during the assignment.

You can choose whether to opt in or opt out of KiwiSaver (see below) and we will administer this for you.

Roles fill quickly, but may be available across Auckland.

KiwiSaver – superannuation

In 2007 the Government launched a superannuation scheme called ‘KiwiSaver’. This is a way to save for the future and the government has promised to contribute a kick start payment of $1000, a regular fee subsidy and, if you qualify, a first home deposit subsidy.

You can withdraw your savings as a lump sum when you qualify for NZ Super (when you turn 65 years old) or after five years’ membership, whichever is later. In some other limited cases, you may be able to withdraw your savings earlier.

To find out more about KiwiSaver and whether or not you would like to belong to it, please click on the link below.

Automatic enrolment

If you are employed in a temporary assignment (contract for service) for 28 continuous days or less, then you will not be enrolled in KiwiSaver. For all roles of greater than 28 day’s duration, you will be automatically enrolled. This means that from your first pay, KiwiSaver contributions will be deducted at the rate of 4%, or you can choose the higher rate of 8%. You may also be entitled to an employer contribution from 1 April 2008.

To opt out of KiwiSaver

If you are on a temporary assignment through Credit Recruitment, and if you would like to opt out of KiwiSaver, you can either:

  • Complete the New employee opt-out request (KS 10) in the Temp Pack that you receive when your assignment commences, and either return it to IRD or Credit Recruitment, or
  • Complete the online opt-out form at www.kiwisaver.govt.nz
