Recruitment - Permanent, Temp & Fixed Term Contracts

Located centrally, the team at Credit Recruitment assist employers and job applicants from across Auckland.  Whilst our core business is credit management, we are frequently called on to assist in other areas including accounting, accounts payable and receivable, admin  and other office based roles.  We provide permanent, temporary, fixed term contract, consulting and training solutions.

Our database is unrivalled – both in high calibre candidates seeking employment, and in the broad array of industries represented among the businesses we recruit for.

It is our practice to reference check the employment background of candidates prior to securing appointments with employers so that time is not wasted in interviews and as an aid to ensuring that we refer the right person for the role. Much of our success has been built on repeat business and many of our candidate and client associations span years.

When you calculate all of the following against the cost of your own recruitment you will find us very competitive.

  • We are confident in the quality of our applicants;
  • We provide a three (3) month guarantee on all permanent placements;
  • We do not charge progress payments, i.e. No placement. No fee;
  • There are no hidden or up-front costs;
  • Advertisements are professionally set and we charge no mark up;
  • All placements are undertaken by qualified, experienced consultants.
  • Our placement fee is 15% of the commencing salary (see our Terms of Business).

Temporary

Some people temp to enjoy ongoing variety and others choose to temp when they are in between jobs. Whatever your need, speak with a consultant in our Temporary Division, and we will provide the most appropriate solution.

It’s getting to be cliché now, but if you are an employer wanting someone who will ‘hit the ground running’, let us provide the contingency or interim resource you need. Many of our temporary employees have temped with us for years. Candidates are reference checked and we select people who are skilled in the roles we recruit for.

  • We are confident in the quality of our temporary employees;
  • If a temp is found to be unsuitable within four (4) hours of starting, we will not charge;
  • Temps are paid by the hour by Credit Recruitment;
  • We pay holiday pay and ACC levies;
  • We charge an hourly rate in keeping with the candidate’s skills;
  • Temping provides flexibility – to employers and job applicants.

Fixed Term Contracts

Fixed Term Contracts are ideal when someone is away for a defined period of time or when there’s a project to conquer. Fixed Term Contracts can be used when there is a specific business reason for the fixed term (like maternity leave, for instance). They are useful for providing greater certainty to a short-term employee, who can generally count on work for the duration of the fixed term. And they are great from an employer’s perspective, because most people who start work on a fixed term basis stay for the entire term, having known how long they would be needed at the outset.

  • The fixed term employee is paid by the hiring business;
  • We charge a flat monthly fee.

The employee can be retained until either:

1. The end of the fixed term
2. Or the end of the reason for the fixed term.

Credit Consulting

Another string to our bow, which sets us apart from almost every other recruitment agency, is our credit consulting service. We employ a team of credit consulting professionals who can entirely manage a debtors’ ledger. This service is normally provided on site, at the premises of our client. The consultant may be present one day per week, or more or less as required to fulfil the credit function.

  • Flat hourly rate charged;
  • Dedicated on-site consultant;
  • Consultant calls using the business name;
  • Consultants are adept at collecting payments whilst retaining customer loyalty;
  • Regular hours worked by the consultant ‘train’ debtor customers to expect their call;
  • A very effective option when it is not feasible to employ a full time person.

Outplacement for Employees Affected by Redundancy

The need for businesses to change sometimes means downsizing, re-engineering roles, decentralising or centralising functions – and the upshot is that roles may be made redundant. As part of maintaining a fair process, many employers recognise the need to provide assistance to employees whose jobs are affected.

How to assist employees whose roles have been made redundant?

Employers can ease the transition of employees affected by redundancy by:

  • Allowing paid time off to attend job interviews and to register with employment agencies;
  • Providing written references to validate the employee’s term of service and contribution to the business;
  • Providing verbal references to answer the specific questions of employment agencies or prospective employers;
  • Engaging a comprehensive Outplacement service provider to assist the affected employees in preparation of a CV and the skills to interview well.

What skills are taught in our Outplacement consultations?

The Outplacement service we provide stands apart from our company’s other day to day activities and is not intended for any niche occupation. The Changing Jobs Programme provides instruction that will assist an employee or group of employees to:

  • Identify their marketable skills;
  • Prepare a CV;
  • Prepare for job interviews;
  • Present themselves well in an interview;
  • Know what to do after an interview.

Training

No other recruitment company in Auckland can boast more than 30 years working in credit management. Our training division has been established for many years, to cater to businesses who want to equip their credit team with better skills to do their work effectively.

We aim to recover outstanding accounts – thereby offsetting the course fees.
